Album Existence Reminder - Luke Abbott “Holkham Drones”

I know this was out in 2010, so not strictly a current release.

But if you missed it, you MUST listen to it, and I mean NOW. It’s a completely beautiful, dreamy, groovy, varied, bleak, textural and stunningly solid work of electro brilliance.

Records like this just go to prove that there is nothing sub-standard about an artist or band from Norwich, Norfolk, or any of the surrounding area.

There is amazing creativity here if you open you eyes and ears and stop buying into appalling mainstream pop music: major label, autotuned, voted for by the nation, devoid of honesty, soulless, musically idiotic, throwaway, flash in the pan, painfully fashionably, lacking in substance…. rubbish.

Rant over. Luke is currently touring and will be playing Bloc Electronica Weekend at Butlins in Minehead. That’ll be GOOD.
