1 Minute Wonders VIdeo - David Pye “When’s the Right Time to Stop?”

Video kindly made by the BBC Norfolk Introducing team.

Video - Keith Brown “Attendance Mandatory”

Well that’s a first, and a great one too. A video made to accompany a One Minute Wonder!!!

Warning, video features guys playing instruments with a genuine apathetic lack of enthusiasm. COOL.

Actual Competition - 1 Minute Wonders

Since James Leeds suggested the idea of making songs that lasted around 1 minute in length the 1 Minute Wonder SoundCloud group went a bit mental as people wrote and added all their bestest efforts. There were loads of great ones.

Now, in light of the project’s success, NRONE Records of Norwich have offered to put out a 7” album of 1 Minute Wonders.

10 Tracks will be selected by July 1st, from tracks already submitted, and from whatever else can be submitted by then. So get writing and submit your entries via the SoundCloud group here.

Being a competition there have to be some rules, boring yeah whatever, it’ll stop you crying if you think someone’s cheating!

RULES

1. NO SAMPLES, ALL TRACKS MUST BE 100% COPYRIGHT OF THE ARTIST, UNRELEASED AND UNPUBLISHED.

2. ALL SONGS MUST BE 60 Seconds long. +/- 5 second tolerance.

3. STRICTLY NO EDITS OF LONGER SONGS.

4. THE PRIZE FOR THE COMPETITION WINNERS IS APPEARING ON THE 7” ALBUM, NO ALTERATIVE PRIZES GIVEN.

The winners will be picked by James Leeds with norwichmusic.com and Kingsley Harris

Idea - Write, Record and Upload 1 Minute Long Songs

As previously posted, James Leeds (of Tin Man fame) suggested people did the above. Strange thing is, lots of people have. So:

Have a listen to 17 (SEVENTEEN), as of 07.09.2010 songs lasting only 1 minute.
